The blogger's BOF at Lotusphere was amazing. To see all these people who share their thoughts an knowledege come together, many meeting each other for the first time, was just great. Even though there was only little time, very interesting topics were discussed. For example if it is advisable to blog about personal stuff, about politics, religion and other "hot" matters. The opinions were quite different but mutually respected.

A thought I really liked was to start blogging for knowledge management. Every IT professional writes down stuff he or she finds interesting, bugs, code snippets and so on. Everybody uses different means like a personal journal, a discussion database and so on. That was really the thought that got me and my friends who also attended to start this blog. We might not be the most talented writers and not being native speakers doesn't really help either when blogging in english. But it's a great opportunity to exercise an maybe even somebody might read it and find some of our stories interesting.
