Back Home From ILUG2008
ILUG2008 is over and we're back home. The organisers did an outstanding job of organising this event. Thanks guys! Not only did we have valuable and entertaining sessions but also it was a great event to socialise with our fellow geeks. Henning and Thomas gave their session on Friday morning which was very informative and - given the strong competition at the same time (Mary Beth Raven, Rob Novak (thanks for the Guinness!!!), Julian Robichaux and Rob McDonagh) - well attended.
On the weekend we did a bus tour and a fair bit of walking around the city. The evenings were spent in various pubs of which I want to recommend two. The Barge right next to the Dublin Hilton we stayed in is a great pub. They serve a nice pint of Guinness and the food and service is great. We've also been at the Porterhouse Temple Bar on Saturday where we enjoyed two sets of great traditional Irish music by Sliotar.
